A Time for Renewal At Ascend Worship Church

As the Apostle Paul wrote, "And if Christ has not been raised, our preaching is useless and so is your faith" (1 Corinthians 15:14). Without the resurrection, our faith would be empty, but because of it, we have assurance of eternal life and victory over the struggles of this world.

Christ not only died for our sins and went to hell for us, but He rose on the third day and became a quickening spirit, leaving us the Holy Ghost as the Comforter.

Easter is the most significant event in Christian history. Without the resurrection of Jesus, there would be no salvation, no hope, and no victory over sin and death. The resurrection is proof that Jesus is who He said He is; the Son of God who came to redeem humanity. Jesus' death on the cross paid the price for sin, but His resurrection secured our victory.

Because He lives, we too can live in freedom, no longer bound by sin.

As Romans 6:9 says, "For we know that since Christ was raised from the dead, he cannot die again; death no longer has mastery over him." This means that through Christ, we have eternal life and power over sin through His grace.
